Peter Mikedis brings an extensive background in food and service management in Corporate,
Senior, Childcare and K -12 Dining. Most recently Peter held the position of Chief
Operating Officer of the largest provider of “Meals on Wheels” in the Boston area,
overseeing daily operations — customer service, production, purchasing, quality
control, packaging, and delivery of over 1.5 million meals per year to public schools,
child care facilities, state and social agencies, and elderly clients. These clients
include; Boston Public Schools, Boston Senior Home Care, Central Boston, Ethos,
ESP and Springwell.
As founder, Peter has spearheaded the development of Sidekim Foods from concept
to implementation, bringing with him years of experience and leadership in the industry.
Peter has held senior level positions with two major corporate dining firms throughout
New England.
Nick comes to Sidekim Foods with a wide range of experience both in and out of the
food industry. Nick has spent the last several years as a GM in the restaurant industry,
and has held other operational positions managing three dental offices. He is a
graduate of Salem State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management
and Marketing and a minor in Biology. Nick brings a great deal of passion and enthusiasm
to the Sidekim team.
Ed has over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology field. He has served
as IT Director for several companies including, GENBAND, Taxware, and Alcatel. He
has also held senior technology roles at Snowshore Networks, Computervision and
Cadence Design Systems. Ed has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science
from Fitchburg State College
Arlene is a graduate of Misericordia University and the University of Iowa Hospitals
and Clinics Dietetic Internship, and University of Iowa Graduate School. She has
continued her education with graduate courses at Lesley College and the University
of Massachusetts, Lowell, as well as a course at the Culinary Institute of America.
She was the Register Dietician for the Home for Little Wonderers.
Ms. Langseth is a member of the American Dietetic Association, Massachusetts Dietetic
Association, and the School Nutrition Association of Massachusetts, and Dietitians
in School Food Service, a subgroup of the American Dietetic Association. Arlene
brings a vast knowledge of Nutrition and Wellness to Sidekim Foods.
Carl started with Sidekim Foods in 2008 as a driver and his abilities and skills
advanced him to the position of Shipping and Receiving Manager. Carl brings a host
of shipping and receiving experience to Sidekim Foods. He was the Warehouse Manager
for Maihos Provisions is Salem, Ma overseeing hundreds of deliveries a day on time
the first time. Carl brings a level of service to our clientele that is second to
none.
Erin comes to Sidekim Foods in 2011 and serves as the Marketing specialist. Along
with several years of restaurant industry experience, Erin comes to Sidekim Foods
with a background in journalism and social media marketing. She has worked as an
online news reporter, a social media coordinator, and has held several executive
assistant positions. Erin received her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature with
a minor in Spanish from The University of Vermont. She also holds a Master’s degree
in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College in Boston.
Rob has come to Sidekim Foods with over 25 years of experience in non-commercial
food service operations. His last position was with the Newton Public Schools as
the Director of Food and Nutrition Services where he oversaw a 7.2 million dollar
operation which consisted of 22 locations and 80 union and 90 non union employees.
Rob has also worked for some distinguished universities including; Harvard University
and Boston University, as well as the Cambridge, Bedford and Natick Public Schools.
Rob graduated from Keene State College in 1989 with a BS in management and received
his MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2005. Rob is passionate about school food
service and believes it plays an integral role in the learning and development of
students.
